AIRPLANE DESIGN - AERODYNAMICS by EDWARD P. WARNER
Member, Society of Automotive Engineers; Associate Fellow, Royal Aeronautical Society; Professor of Aeronautical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Aeronautics.
FROM THE PREFACE
I have written here for the student interested in the practical application of aerodynamic theories to design, by no means for the specialist in the theories themselves. I have written with the object of exacting from my readers only a very modest knowledge of mathematics of collegiate grade.
Proofs and derivations have been ruthlessly omitted wherever they would have involved undue mathematical complication or where they were not necessary to an understanding of the results and their application.
